Quality Field Technician - Interior

Objective

Support in assuring the quality of products for DRX interior parts.

Principle Activities

• Assure customer service and satisfaction as it pertains to the product quality of interior products, doors, instrument panels and center consoles.
• Act as a customer liaison for the manufacturing facility and a communication link in addressing customer complaints.
• Assist in the prevention of defects and the improvement of processes and products through interface with customer line personnel, business unit staff and plant technical and quality specialist.
• Acts as the first point of contact to the customer regarding product quality (interior products)
• Initiates analysis of non-conformances and ensures proper documentation.
• Plans, coordinates and performs immediate actions at customer's site in response to complaints, including but not limited to containing, sorting, and reworking suspect material. 
• Monitors progress to ensure that customer requirements and deadlines are met.
• Acts as the liaison between the customer representatives and the department manager to ensure timely feedback of problems reported by the customer.
• Responsible to approve customer complaints for chargeback to DRX.
• Documents and communicates all rework/inspection actions performed at customer's site pertaining to customer complaints and DRX internal quality issues.
• Works closely with line workers to attend to their concerns pertaining to interior products in an effort to prevent possible future defects.
• Sends feedback to the manufacturing plant at the end of the shift.
• Utilizes field experience to suggest improvements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Associates Degree or equivalent work experience

3-5 years experience in Quality, Engineering, or Customer Service in Automotive Manufacturing
