Intern CAD Support

We are offering an Internship within our Engineering Department in our Turin Office. This role is suitable for a current student who is studying a Technical Degree and has a working knowledge of using Catia5 software. This 6-month placement will enable the successful candidate to gain Engineering work experience with a focus on CAD drawings and 3D Modelling. Main Tasks:​​

• Designing simple components in compliance with the specifications by the design manager
• Concept: Creation of principle sections, hand sketches, concept drawings and component data sheets according to specifications.
• The 3D modelling of components taking into account manufacturing tolerances or tolerance calculations, FEM - results, temperature and long-term behavior of the selected materials as well as tooling and process engineering requirements.
• Creation of drawings and 3D models ready for release according to standard specifications of the Dräxlmaier Group and customer requirements.
• Creation, maintenance and documentation of correct data models
• Processing of change requests (DRÄXLMAIER change management) and purchased part specifications.
• Design support for components until they are ready for series production.

Your Profile:

• Currently Studying a Technical Degree, preferably in an Automotive field
• Demonstratable experience of using CAD Catia v5 - is a MUST
• Good team spirit
• Knowledge of main MS Office system
• Fluent in English (German is a plus)
• International mindset
• Customer oriented
