For our global IT Project Manager Pool Team, we are on the lookout for a Specialist IT Project Manager - colleague whose main responsibility will revolve around leading and coordinating IT projects with the project classification Silver based on a theoretical training in project management according to IPMA Level C or similar including certification conformable to requirement matrix IT project management.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Act as interface between involved internal/ external areas (e.g. control internal and external resources, as required; coordinate appointments, contents, IT architects, technical areas, internal customers, site managers, consultants, suppliers; prioritize and escalate resource bottlenecks and conflicts between line organization and project organization etc.);
  • Create project plans/ concepts and assure they are followed (e.g. resource planning, schedule planning, cost planning etc.) in cooperation with project leaders, delivery teams and/ or IT architects as well as technical areas;
  • Develop suggestions for project organization; select suitable associates in cooperation with supervisors and define tasks, rules and interfaces;
  • Assure compliance with allocated project budget; introduce actions in case of deviations (e.g. recognize deviation, define remedial measures in cooperation with customer/ supervisor etc.);
  • Analyze and evaluate changes (internal/ external) (e.g. cost and risk impact with regard to application, infrastructure, interfaces, standards and subsequent processes etc.), cooperate in negotiations (e.g. volume and costs of changes etc.) and assure implementation;
  • Create and check project reports and presentations, as well as project conclusion documentation (e.g. prepare and present decision papers to the steering committee etc.);
  • Plan and conduct project acceptances and handovers into operation after project completion (e.g. handover of support to the line, operating units or IT service desk, customization of SLAs etc. Act as mentor for the “Staging Area” with in the IT project management department.

 

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree within IT or Business Informatics preferred;
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a specialized field (technical, scientific or specialized field built on a thorough understanding of theoretical concepts and principles and their context);
  • IPMA certification level C or similar;
  • Ability to use right tools for analyzing and solving complex problems;
  • Good Knowledge about process design and optimization;
  • General understanding of data, application and infrastructure elements;
  • Advanced knowledge of English is mandatory, knowledge of German is a plus.
