We are looking for a Head of Quality Management for our E-Mobility components and batteries segment to join our management team in Timisoara plant.

 

Objective of job:

Ensure plant product and process quality for the customer; make sure that weak areas are determined early and implement all necessary corrective actions. Make permanent optimizations (KVP) using the zero defect strategy, and recognize and use cost savings potentials.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support the area’s strategic planning by breaking down and/or developing the strategic plan for the Group within a short- / mid-term time frame;
  • Create and approve the annual budget plan for his/her own area of responsibility, in cooperation with technical and disciplinary management. Support the strategic multi-year planning in the plant. Introduce corrective actions in case of deviations. Derive, agree upon and follow goals and actions with management personnel in his/her area of responsibility. Break down and prioritize group goals for employees. Permanently record and analyze quality costs (scrap, rework, etc.) based on defined indicators. Initiate continuous optimization with the goal of a zero-defect manufacturing facility (with regard to product quality, work quality, organizational quality), by showing weak areas in the process and/or product. Agree upon and monitor improvement measures (KVP) with production;
  • In accordance with the approved audit plan, cooperate in implementing internal / external audits (IATF16949, customer-specific requirements, CCC) with regard to the systems and processes at the site;
  • Cooperate in the correct implementation of the DRÄXLMAIER management system in the plant. Cooperate in and release necessary work instructions (production process) and monitor their effective implementation;
  • Assure product and process quality in the plant with regard to the customer, as well as assure the detection of weak areas and implement necessary corrective actions (e.g. conduct plant analysis for customer complaints from the field internal / external, evaluate opportunities and risks, etc.);
  • Cooperate in the defective part analysis from customer field failures, taking into account both internal and customer-specific requirements and implementing effective measures in case of deviations;
  • Conduct negotiations with the customers on actions, taking into account the actions’ effectiveness and efficiency; as needed, do this during personal visits to the customer’s site.

 

Requirements:

  • Higher Education in Engineering or comparable training;
  • At least 5-7 years of professional experience in technical, scientific or other areas in the automotive industry or comparable work experience with a high degree of innovative and conceptual thinking, with several years of management experience;
  • IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 knowledge, CAQ basic knowledge (QSYS / SAP);
  • Core tools knowledge: (APQP, FMEA, PPAP/PPF);
  • 8D methodology / complaints, Q7-Tools, SPC, customer-specific requirements, requalification inspections, special characteristics;
  • Knowledge of English/ German language may be an advantage;
  • Process-oriented and strategic thinking, strong analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Strong personal initiative, with goal orientation and intercultural competences;
  • Flexibility, very good negotiation competences and customer orientation;
  • Leadership experience, strong teamwork and communication skills.
