Head of Legal Eastern Europe

We are looking for a Head of Legal Eastern Europe that will lead the Legal Group team in our site in Timisoara. 


Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical and disciplinary leadership to associates that report to him/her; make personnel decisions in cooperation with the HR department and the supervisor (e.g. development of legal talents for the DRÄXLMAIER organization in a specific region, etc.);
  • Lead complex projects, be a business partner to regional and local management and advice in all legal matters.
  • Support the strategic planning of the unit/division by breaking down or developing the strategic planning for the department within a short or medium-range time frame (e.g. provide regional input on overall DRÄXLMAIER strategy from a legal perspective, etc.);
  • Plan and administer the budget in his/her area of responsibility, in cooperation with the supervisor, and make sure there is compliance with it;
  • Develop department-specific goals, break down and prioritize the department goals, follow up on goals and evaluate goal achievement;
  • Establish a legal risk management system and process within the area of responsibility; perform and control legal risk monitoring in cooperation with corporate risk management.

 

Requirements:

  • University degree; 
  • Between 5 to 7 years experience on a Senior Legal Counsel position;
  • Minimum 3 years experience on a Head of position would be preferred; 
  • Excellent  knowledge of corporate law, business and contract law, employment law;
  • Excellent knowledge of English is a must;
  • Very good communication skills, analytical and leadership abilities;
  • Willingness to work on projects in a pragmatic and result orientated manner.
