PPAP Engineer

We have a really exciting opportunity for a PPAP Engineer to join the Quality team in Tamworth to ensure that all customer requirements are met with regards to PPAP approval.


Key responsibilities:
•    Carry out PPAP and parts validation
•    Check through documentation received and ensure they meet customer requirements
•    Support NPI ensuring PPAP compilation and submission to customer  to meet project timing
•    Oversee internal processes after PPAP approval to ensure all relevant information is store in correct locations and is kept current
•    Support APQP activities within Quality together with the project team
•    Support plant audits from internal and external organisations to IATF16949 & ISO 14001 
•    Support Change Management and evaluate ECRs (Engineering Change Requests) in relation to the Quality Department.


 Skills and experience required:
•    Technical Engineering diploma or equivalent (desirable)
•    Six sigma green belt certified (desirable) 
•    Well versed in APQP and PPAP (essential)
•    Knowledge and experience of core quality tools (APQP/PPAP/Control Plan/FMEA) (essential)
•    Knowledge of JLR PPAP, ePSW and alert system (desirable)
•    Proficient user of IT tools (e.g. microsoft word, PowerPoint, excel) to enable feedback to all management levels.
•    Excellent communication skills 
•    Knowledge of IATF16949 & ISO 14001.
