- Ensure all OE-relevant functions in the plant
- Define and elaborate the strategic planning of the department within a short / medium–term
- Planning and managing the budget in the area of responsibility in coordination with the supervisor, make sure there is compliance with it
- Cooperate in personnel planning in the area of responsibility in coordination with the supervisor as well as employ qualified personnel
- Professional and disciplinary management of staff in the sub-area and making personnel decisions in collaboration with the human resources department and the supervisor
- Break down and prioritize departmental goals, track and assess goals within a goal achievement evaluation process
- Implement standard Operations Engineering processes, guidelines, and tools and ensure they are followed
- Manage and ensure all functions within Operations Engineering (for example, Launch Management, Industrial Engineering, Change Management, etc.), if necessary, initiate measures in case of deviations
- Identify opportunities, develop optimization proposals, and ensure implementation to improve processes and structures, as well as procedures and methods
