IT PLM Consultant

We are looking for an experienced IT PLM Consultant to support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of our PLM infrastructure.

You will work on project-based IT initiatives, collaborate with architects and global teams, and ensure the reliable operation of our Siemens Teamcenter environment.

What you will do:

• Serve as a key internal and external contact for all PLM infrastructure topics, participating in working groups such as proposal decision meetings and steering committees.
• Create and maintain internal documentation and publications, presenting them as needed.
• Identify training needs within your area of expertise and plan, prepare, and deliver training sessions—both internally and externally, domestically and internationally.
• Support the development and optimization of internal standards and processes, identifying deviations and improvement opportunities.
• Monitor industry trends in PLM and IT infrastructure, develop concepts, and recommend actions to ensure continuous technological advancement.
• Conduct conceptual and analytical work within your area of expertise.
• Implement standard infrastructure systems in project environments and help define the IT infrastructure topology, working closely with IT infrastructure architects.
• Ensure the achievement of project goals, including quality, timelines, deliverables, and budget.
• Manage the handover of completed projects to operational or production units.
• Ensure compliance with architecture specifications, standards, and guidelines.
• Coordinate with architects, IT site leads, and regional managers when deviations from standards arise or when new requirements must be aligned.
• Request and track on-site resource availability for project execution.
• Oversee the implementation, configuration, and testing of standard IT infrastructure systems from various manufacturers (e.g., software upgrades, system upgrades, network segmentation).
• Ensure timely system upgrades and maintain compatibility with integrated systems.

What you Bring:

• Very good experience in:
• Siemens Teamcenter administration and setup
• Webservers (Tomcat, WildFly, etc.)
• Certificates / PKI
• Windows, Windows Server, and Linux environments
• Scripting (PowerShell)
• Jenkins
• Knowledge in:
• Databases (Oracle or MSSQL preferred)
• CAD systems (NX, CATIA)
• 5 years of experience in a specialized IT or PLM-related field
• Additional expertise:
• Deep understanding of Siemens Teamcenter Infrastructure (AW, Rich Client, Application Server, add‑ons, etc.)
• Strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work in project-driven environments
• Fluent English
