Your responsibilities:
- Gather and analyze all required construction documentation.
- Integrate construction lines, process constraints, and all applicable standards into your work.
- Prepare drafts that can be directly transformed into production-ready drawings.
- Design components and assemblies in line with internal and external requirements, sketches, drafts, and technical specifications.
- Conduct constructive reviews and define shapes, dimensions, and tolerances based on provided drafts and specifications.
- Manage design modifications and act as the local point of contact within your assigned scope.
- Generate clear and precise 2D CAD data, including views, sections, developed surfaces, penetrations, and projections.
- Develop part modifications and improvements following instructions.
- Create and optimize parts, components, and simple assemblies from concept phase to maturity.
- Ensure proper integration of design outputs into technical lists (e.g., bill of materials), respecting the numbering system and product-specific guidelines.
- Perform calculations for the dimensioning of parts and assemblies using provided formulas and reference tables.
- Develop and adjust drafts while considering manufacturing technologies, material requirements, and technical standards.
- Produce supplemental documentation such as tables, sketches, and diagrams according to templates.
- Collaborate closely in 2D design activities and support component data management.
Your profile:
- Master’s / Engineering degree in a relevant field, or equivalent proven experience.
- Previous experience in Wiring Harness Design is a strong advantage.
- Perfect communication in English is mandatory, German is a plus.
- Experience or familiarity working with VW and AUDI customers is a valuable asset.
