As a HV Harness Designer, you will be responsible for the development and design of complex wiring harness components, from concept phase to series production. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and international stakeholders to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
Your main tasks:
- Design and detail complex wiring harness components, considering functional and installation requirements
- Develop and optimize parts from design phase to series production
- Create and validate 2D/3D CAD data in compliance with applicable standards
- Perform technical calculations (e.g. cross-sections, fuse and current ratings)
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation such as drawings and diagrams
- Support technical decision-making during the development process
- Act as a contact person for design methodology within CAD tools
- Support and train new team members
- Participate in customer meetings and workshops.
Your profile:
- Higher education degree (3–5 years) in Engineering or a related technical field
- At least 3 years of professional experience in wiring harness design
- Strong knowledge of high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) wiring harnesses
- Experience in electrical wiring harness manufacturing (mandatory)
- Proficiency in Siemens NX, Capital Harness / LDorado, PLM tools
- Experience in Mercedes-Benz projects is a strong advantage
- Very good command of English (German is a plus)
- Confident user of MS Office
