Component Management Specialist

We are looking for a talented Component Management Specialist to join our team and support global projects in the automotive wiring harness sector. If you are passionate about component optimization, product development, and driving innovation, this role is for you!
Your Mission:
You will ensure value creation, standardization, and continuous improvement of components across development and series production. As an internal and customer-facing expert, you will guide technical decisions, optimize materials and costs, and shape future product concepts.
What you will do:
- Act as the main expert contact internally and with customers (Tier1/Tier2).
- Create technical documentation and deliver strong internal presentations.
- Plan and deliver technical training locally and abroad.
- Support improvement of internal standards and processes.
- Analyze and optimize components for cost, quality, and sustainability.
- Drive Material Cost Optimization (MCO) initiatives.
- Manage and update the component database (KDB).
- Evaluate customer change requests and coordinate cross-functional implementation.
- Ensure compliance with legal, customer, and quality guidelines.
- Support validation tests (leakage, vibration, alternative materials).
- Present concepts to customers and collect requirements.
- Foster continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
What you bring:
- Technical degree (3–5 years)
- 5+ years of relevant experience in the automotive wiring harness domain
- Strong knowledge of wiring harness systems & product development
- Experience with CAD/databases (CATIA, Capital Harness, LDorado, Teamcenter…)
- Understanding of automotive standards and test procedures
- Strong MS Office skills
- Excellent English; German is a plus
