COBOL Developer - ERP Systems

About the Role:

We are seeking a COBOL Developer to join our team and contribute to the evolution of our ERP systems.

In this role, you will work on global projects, developing new solutions and enhancing existing functionality, while ensuring efficiency, reliability, and scalability.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in international ERP projects to implement and expand solutions
• Translate functional specifications into robust technical solutions
• Develop and maintain efficient, reusable COBOL code
• Apply software engineering principles to ensure quality and performance
• Conduct white box testing and support integration testing with business units
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs effectively
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless solutions

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Engineer Degree in Computer Science, IT, or Business Informatics with minimum 3 years of experience.
• Programming skills in COBOL or any other procedural programming language
• Experience with Oracle PL/SQL and relational/index-sequential databases
• Solid knowledge of data structures and algorithms
• Understanding of Supply Chain Management processes
• Familiarity with Eclipse toolkit
• Proficiency in version control tools (SVN, GIT)
• Knowledge of Agile methods (Scrum)
• Excellent command of English
