Objetive of the position

Ensures and finds the appropriate streamlines between transportation solutions, detailed in previous point, and compliance with MX Customs regulations and DRX local policies regarding imports and exports.


Principal Activities

  • Coordinates, from reaching and organizing acting parties to reviewing paperwork, for any type of freight, wheter regular or expedited/premium freight.
  • Works and cooperates with other departments within the Supply Chain to ensure the logistics portion where our department participates.
  • Actively participates educating colleagues on policies and procedures related to Transportation & Customs.
  • Provides routing instructions for pre series, series and after series shipments.
  • Provides status about ongoing shipments to anyone participating in the Supply Chain within the DRX Group.
  • Makes decisions on behalf of Transportation & Customs to implement, improve and optimize current processes.
  • Monitors carriers, forwarders and brokers in order to ensure that their performance is appropriate to meet the DRX Supply Chain expectations.
  • Investigates freight damages and pursues insurance claims with carriers and internal insurance policy holders.
  • Updates Transportation Database NA and different KPI reports.
  • Ensures that internal and external regulations/policies, from the Customs Compliance perspective, are being followed (IMMEX, IVA, DAA Customs Compliance Manual and any other).
  • Participates in audits; Customs, Logistics, DRX organizational, internal, external, etc, as any occasion may require it.
  • Must participate at any activity that Upper Management may find as needed such as; Crossed Training, providing assistance to any other Segment in the Department (Electrical, Interior Systems).

Professional career:

  • Education: Business  Administration, Logistics Knowledge
  • Language: English Advanced
    Relevant experience: At least 2 years
  • Knowledge of route planning and optimization, rate negotiation skills and experience.
  • Logistics role within a manufacturing facility or a Customs/Transportation role at carrier, forwarder or broker.
  • Knowledge of MX Customs regulations, IMMEX program, Mexican Customs Certifications (CIVA,EC,R8)
