Objective of the position
Ensure the availability of production-supporting resources / systems (e.g. systems with complex technologies, etc.) for the assigned PLC technology.
Execution of installations, start up, maintenance/servicing, training and support in worldwide service with corresponding travel activities.
Principal activities
- Working independently on very complex equipment and systems, being a specialist in the assigned PLC technology.
- Assembly, commissioning, relocation and optimization of highly complex production equipment in the production plant, taking into account customer requirements, specifications, legal requirements, applicable norms and standards and in compliance with specified deadlines and quality.
- Execution and documentation of parameterizations as well as changes and optimizations to machine controls and programs as well as systems with creation/adaptation of the necessary data sheets according to requirements/specifications and systems (Optimain, SAP).
- Creation and maintenance of test- and maintenance plans.
- Monitoring, optimization and documentation of defined or specified parameters according to specifications (e.g. target parameters, target range, upper / lower limits, etc.) / specifications.
- Identification / determination of weak points and potential for improvement of assigned technologies in production resources / systems and initiation of appropriate measures (e.g. communication to the development areas / project management / external suppliers, etc.)
- Ensure the quality of maintenance, repair, overhaul and service work in the factory.
- Carrying out and ensuring the execution, documentation and coordination of maintenance, repair and overhaul work on very complex production equipment.
- Assembling, installing, setting and configuring very complex assemblies/components in plants/systems.
- Inspecting and testing (e.g. visual, mechanical, electrical, simulation, etc.) to ensure correct operation of equipment/systems in the customer plants in concern with customer requirements and specifications (e.g. equipment technology specification, etc.) and document the results.
- Ensure the start-up of test equipment/systems.
- Carrying out and ensuring the analysis and solution of very complex problems/errors in selected technologies of the equipment/systems with the help of diagnostic systems.
Requirements:
- Professional career: BD Mechanical, Automation, Industrial or related.
- Relevant experience: 3-5 years working in the role in the automotive environment. PLC, knowledge of automation / robot programming, sensors, service & maintenance, mechanical engineering.
