SAP Transportation Management

Objective of the position

Design several IT supported business sub-process elements (inbound shipments, interco shipments, outbound shipments) according to the DRX process map in cooperation with functional units and ensure the definition of the requirements for the software development for SAP TM and the integration with other modules like SAP EWM in one or several business sub-processes.
 

Principal activities

• Act as internal and external contact person within his/her own area of expertise; cooperate in internal working groups within the scope of problem management for Transportation Management IT system like SAP TM and SAP TISS as well as for interfaced IT systems  like Transportation Portal
• Create internal publications (e.g. documentations etc.) and present as required (internally, e.g. in the training of new IT colleagues )
• Recognize general need for continuing education in his/her own field within the company; plan and conduct internal and external training on complex topics, both domestically and in other countries
• Support in determining and optimizing internal standards and processes within his/her own area of expertise
• Observe/identify trends in his/her area of expertise in order to develop concepts; suggest recommendations for action
• Conduct mainly conceptual activities within his/her area of expertise (SAP TM and SAP TISS)
• Consult with respect to the further development of several sub-process elements in cooperation with internal customers
• Act as process interface to internal customers and to the software development department for several business sub-process elements (inbound shipments, interco shipments, outbound shipments, premium freights)
• Ensure the supervision of all process steps in the respective business sub-process element (e.g. Warehouse inbound, production supply, warehouse outbound management in SAP TM and SAP TISS)

Requirements:

Professional career: Professional / graduate education (experienced professional) usually acquired through a bachelor’s or master degree or professional certification.

Relevant experience: 5 to 7 years SAP TM experience, 3 to 5 years of experience in a specialized field, Working knowledge in implementations and interfaces TM and S4HANA, Highly proficient in a technical, scientific or specialized field, built on a thorough understanding of theoretical concepts and principles and their context.

Technical knowledge: Good understanding and experience with SAP TM, Knowledge of interfaces from SAP TM to SAP ERP / EWM / GTS and automation tools like Enterprise Portal, Experience with SAP technology like IDOC interface, background jobs, Experiences with SAP implementations (requirements management, business blueprints, trainings, roll-outs and customizing), Advanced English.
