Objective of the position
Design, develop, create. Update and implement methods, flows, spaces and means of work in production areas to achieve productivity and quality objectives. Having the ability to plan, standardize and establish adequate controls for production, adapting to changes in technologies, resources and customer demands.
Series support for existing production processes, with the goal of achieving trouble-free and efficient production.
In charge of the process with the goal of efficiently in all series production lines.
Principal activities
- Support the strategic planning of the department/unit by breaking down or developing the strategic planning for the group, within a short or medium-range time frame.
- Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to define manufacturing processes, adequate staffing requirements and production standards.
- Regularly verify the planned times of the different operations, in coordination with the central department of time studies, with the objectives of having an updated catalog of times available in the company.
- Verify that the stations, methods and tools meet the ergonomic requirements where apply it
- Development and implementation of Continuous Improvement projects. (Savings, Process Optimization, Reduction cycle times, SCRAP reduction)
- Participate in planning, selection of equipment and/or stations for new projects taking into account internal standards as well as tooth-specific requirements.
- Carry out balancing and adjustments considering the actual and planned operation times to satisfy the current production demand, keeping efficiencies within target.
- Prepare and update the documentation that is interrelated with the manufacturing of the product, ensuring information is available for production. (FMEA, Work Instructions, Aid Visuals, Annexes, MP Sheets, Flow Charts)
- Administration, Evaluation and update of the FMEA for calculation of RPN's (Risk priorlty number) as well as definition and development of controls for significant failure modes.
- Implementation and monitoring of compliance with actions related to FMEA together with the team multidisciplinary.
Requirements:
- Professional career: BD • Industrial/Mechanical Engineer or careers related.
- Relevant experience: 2–3 years of experience in the automotive industry, with exposure to organizational skills, Autocad, Visio software, and key manufacturing processes including VSM, FMEA, time studies, and line balancing.
