GBS Data Services Analyst

Objective of the position 

Coordinate, create, maintain and cleanse data worldwide in order to assure the necessary data quality (e.g. as with the introduction of new systems and processes and in the course of data migration in the important group programs such as synapsis, PLMnext, etc.), as well as smooth production processes.

Principal activities

• Control and coordinate data cleansing activities for technically supervised associates employees; in coordination with disciplinary supervisor or GMDO / GMDS for Routings
• Propose naming conventions or filing methods (naming conventions filing methods within the programs / projects, etc.).
• Coordinate, create, maintain and cleanse master data in given applications (e.g. HOST, Teamcenter, PLMnext, SAP S/4HANA ENTERPRISE MANAGEMENT, MES, etc.) and if necessary transfer to foreign sites in coordination with BOP managers in the program / project and the GMDO / GMDS for Routings.
• Assure the creation and maintenance of data as requested by program / project requirements (e.g. project schedule, etc.) and according to the rules for the maintenance.
• Initiate release workflows to transfer the data records to subsequent systems.
• Create and manage revision sheets as required.
• Assure the saving/filing of production, product and specification data
• Compare and analyze legacy data in given applications (HOST, Teamcenter, PLMnext, SAP S/4HANA ENTERPRISE MANAGEMENT, MES, etc.)
• Check data quality (e.g. completeness, plausibility, data consistency, checking for duplicates, check of compliance with naming convention of already existing datas, etc.) in given applications and initiate appropriate measures according to specified rules
• Create, control and process error logs in cooperation with GMDO / GMDS or Data Quality Agent in the program / project (e.g. in case of non-existent or wrongly assigned plants, etc.).
• Regular processing of provided reports (e.g. scope lists, database exports etc.), including documentation of the activities carried out.
• Check the defined set of rules for necessary adjustments based on the master data to be processed (e.g. missing or incomplete rules for data migration or data cleansing, etc.).
• Participate in regular meetings on the subject of data cleansing.

Requirements:

• Professional career: BD Business, Engineering, Economics, informatic or related.

• Relevant experience: 3 years working in the role in the automotive or manufacturing environment. Experience in assembly processes and production planning.

• English Advanced Level.

Technical knowledge:

• Industrial maintenance and data management, ideally within automotive.
• High attention to details and the ability to identify non-conformance in processes.
