Objective of the position
Managing all supplier-related activities with product group and technology expertise in the area of responsibility/specialist area. Leading the further development of the supplier base in terms of quality, logistics and resource management with regard to the zero-defect strategy from the beginning of the project phase to the end of the vehicle project.
Principal activities
- Managing and developing maturity-critical suppliers (main focus on metal, extruded rail)
- Acting as an internal and external point of contact within your own specialist area; participating in internal working groups
- Creating internal publications (e.g. documentation, etc.) and supporting external publications (e.g. in specialist journals or at specialist conferences, etc.) Presenting (internally) Recognizing general training needs within your own specialist area within the company; planning and carrying out internal and external training courses on complex topics in Germany and abroad. ) Presenting (internally)
- Recognizing general training needs within the company's own specialist area; planning and conducting internal and external training on complex topics at home and abroad
- Supporting the definition and optimization of internal standards and complex processes within the own specialist area (e.g. adapting and redeveloping product group/technology-specific methods, etc.)
- Carrying out mainly conceptual activities within the specialist area. Documenting escalation processes and communicating results and risks
- Carrying out and managing release and quality planning activities
- Observing/identifying long-term trends in the specialist area to develop concepts; proposing recommendations for action
- Supporting and participating in strategic supplier selection processes by carrying out initial supplier visits and supplier evaluations from a qualitative, logistical or resource perspective as a basis for sourcing processes and participating in the sourcing process
- Managing supplier audits (e.g. VDA 6.3) and process approvals, process inspections, defining measures, tracking measures
- Managing supplier development programs, defining target systems and step-by-step plans with suppliers and monitoring supplier development based on agreed targets
- Managing the topics relevant to the area in Q initiatives and customer audits (internal and external) as well as concluding and extending supplier agreements.
- Supporting design activities, taking into account specific internal and external requirements and defining internal standards.
Requirements:
- Professional career: BD • University of Applied Sciences/University of Applied Sciences and OR comparable education.
- Relevant experience: 5-7 years working in the role in supplier Quality Engineer, Auditor , training according to EOQ system , Advance Skills in technology metal, and advance skills in extrusion technology .
- English Business Level.
