Objective of job

  • Assure all production processes in the plant

Principle activities

  • Lead and develop the production organization
  • Provide direction for supervisors and team leaders; set goals and manage overall performance.
  • Build capabilities across the team through coaching, training, and succession planning.
  • Handle disciplinary actions and ensure fair, consistent performance management.
  • Plan and manage workforce and capacity
  • Develop weekly/monthly manpower and shift plans aligned with the production forecast.
  • Optimize staffing, line capacity, and skill allocation to meet demand and reduce bottlenecks.
  • Approve overtime, temporary resources, and crosstraining plans.
  • Ensure safe, stable, and efficient production operations
  • Oversee the daily performance of production lines to maintain stable output.
  • Ensure that startups, changeovers, and shutdowns follow company procedures.
  • Lead cooperation with Maintenance and Engineering to prevent downtime and solve technical issues quickly.
  • Deliver production, quality, and delivery targets
  • Own the production KPIs for output, quality, cost, and ontime delivery.
  • Ensure that manpower, machines, materials, and methods are used effectively.
  • Remove systemic process constraints and drive optimization across lines and shifts.
  • Build a strong quality culture
  • Ensure that work instructions, control plans, and standards are always applied.
  • Review nonconformities, lead containment actions, and drive structured problem solving.
  • Work with Quality to prevent recurrence and improve product quality.
  • Manage reporting and production data
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all production documents and system entries.
  • Review daily/weekly performance reports from supervisors and prepare management summaries.
  • Use data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Drive cost control and continuous improvement
  • Monitor waste, efficiency, downtime, and material usage; lead corrective actions.
  • Champion improvement projects in processes, automation, layout, and digital tools.
  • Contribute to budgeting and costsaving plans for the production department.
  • Strengthen crossfunctional alignment
  • Work closely with Quality, Logistics, Maintenance, Engineering, and HR to ensure smooth operations.
  • Support new product introductions, trials, and engineering changes.
  • Escalate risks and issues promptly to higher management.
  • Ensure compliance and enforce standards
  • Ensure that all production processes follow company rules, legal requirements, and audit standards.
  • Promote strong safety, health, environmental, and fireprotection practices.
  • Protect confidential data and enforce compliance across the team.
  • Other responsibilities
  • Perform additional tasks assigned by senior management within company and legal guidelines

Job requirements

  • Specialized knowledge/ education: Bachelor’s Degree in Production, Manufacturing, Engineering, or relevant fields
  • Work experience: 3 to 5 years of professional experience in production
  • Additional knowledge:
  • Hands-on experience in production operations, preferably in highlabor/largeworkforce environments
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and quality systems (ISO 9001; IATF 16949 for automotive)
  • Strong problemsolving skills using 5 Whys and root cause/corrective action (RCCA)
  • Knowledge of production systems and methods: push/pull, line balancing, lean manufacturing, and inventory/stock management
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (functions, PivotTables, charts)
  • Experience with enterprise systems: ERP (e.g., SAP) and MES (Manufacturing Execution System)
  • Prior experience in the automotive industry is an advantage
  • Good English
