Objective of job

  • Provide basic support to Lead Design Engineers and Project Leaders for key projects
  • Plan and coordinate deadlines and resources after consultation with the affected Design Engineer and/or Project Leader.

Rotation Dates: 5/4/2020 - 8/14/2020 


Principle activities

  • Create Technical Presentations with direction from project team
  • Assure the preparation and monitoring of project plans; coordinate them with the technical departments; and as required, obtain approval from the Project Leaders (FPL-E or HPL)
  • Create and check project reports and presentations, as well as project conclusion documentation
  • Support project management by coordinating the pre-series production phases in a project, including schedule monitoring, part evaluation, and maturity tracking
  • Coordinate order and delivery coordination for engineering samples
  • Support project team with regard to project status reporting (e.g. gather and prepare information/data, etc.)
  • Support project team in handling work packets in accordance with the Simultaneous EngineeringProcess (SEP)
  •  Assure information flow into change management with regard to change statuses and schedules
  • Ensure that all documentation is properly created and maintained for new parts, modified parts, and purchase parts. Ensure that data is properly stored within PLM and that data transfer is occurring in an effective manner.
  • In respect to CAD activities - define tasks, recognize problems, analyze them and develop recommended solutions, clarification or opportunities for realization, with support for practical implementation
  • Analyze and evaluate CAD design changes (internal/ external), cooperate in negotiations (e.g. volume and costs of changes, etc.) and assure implementation
  • Support all CAD activities both 2D and 3D development; creating, maintaining, updating, etc….
  • Support engineering in root cause analysis and proper direction


Job Requirements

  • Working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Complete three semesters towards degree
  • Maintain a GPA 3.0 or higher
  • Able to work in the US indefinitely and without restrictions
  • Good research and analytical skills
  • Prior Design experience with SolidWorks or AutoCad experience
  • Must provide your own housing
