Head of Engineering

POSITION:  Head of Engineering       

JOB DUTIES: Develop wiring harnesses in cooperation with internal and external stakeholders. Manage the Harness Development Organization. Develop the strategic planning and goals for the department. Monitor the department’s resources and budget and ensure compliance. Develop products, equipment, and services. Escalate future business requests for the Americas and establish relationships with key accounts. Develop concepts and implement measures for improvement beyond the supported organizational units in order to optimize the processes for developing products and equipment. Report project status to higher management. This position requires 20% domestic and 20% international travel. Remote work permitted within a reasonable commuting distance of the Mountain View, CA office.

SALARY: $164,996 to $193,000 per year

REQUIREMENTS

Main Experience: At least a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or closely related field of study and at least three (3) years of experience as an Electrical System Developer or related role.

Alternate Requirement: Employer will accept five (5) years of related experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of experience.

Special Skills: Also requires experience in the following:

• Initiating and monitoring Engineering Change Request flow in Change Management Harness CMH;
• Reporting and presenting project status;
• MS Visio Planning and optimization of change management processes;
• Simultaneous Engineering Process in Adonis;
• Reifegradtool RGT for LV Project Management and Harness Design Change Management;
• Project budget and timeline planning; and
• Electrical Distribution System development process.
