Objective of Job:

  • Managing an extensive/complex area OR several areas in logistics
  • Ensuring and optimizing processes in the internal supply of materials, in particular cost reduction under consideration of price, quality and logistics in cooperation/coordination with logistics planning.

 

Principal Activities:

Leadership

  • Support the strategic planning of the department/division by breaking down or elaborating the strategic planning of the group within a short-term or medium-term time horizon.
  • Planning and managing the budget in the area of responsibility in coordination with the manager and ensuring compliance with it.
  • Participate in personnel planning in the area of responsibility in coordination with the manager and deploy employees in accordance with their qualifications.
  • Carrying out personnel deployment/shift planning and scheduling, taking into account the company and departmental objectives. Ensuring all Plant Logistics Teams function synergistically.
  • Technical and disciplinary management of employees in the subordinate area and making personnel decisions in coordination with the HR department and the manager
  • Breaking down and prioritizing the group goals to the employees, setting priorities within given deadlines and targets.

 

Professional Activity

  • Implement guidelines, processes and systems (e.g. in logistics, SCM, etc.) in the area of responsibility
  • Support in ensuring all functions in the area of responsibility (e.g. logistics functions in the warehouse or SCM plant, etc.); if necessary, implement measures in the case of discrepancies.
  • Contribute to the identification and development of optimization proposals as well as the implementation of derived measures (e.g. with regard to processes, operating resources, IT systems, etc.)
  • Supporting other departments to deal with overarching company tasks
  • Ensure that optimization proposals are identified, developed and derived measures implemented.
  • Implement and ensure compliance with logistics and SCM guidelines, processes and systems in the warehouse.
  • Ensuring the rescheduling of work processes and equipment in the case of disruptions and bottlenecks.
  • Monitoring cost development/ensuring compliance with specified budgets/overhead costs/BDE time records and key figures; initiating corrective measures in consultation with superiors if necessary
  • Developing/supporting the optimization of processes, operating resources and IT systems
  • Ensuring compliance with process and procedural instructions
  • Implementing safety, health and environmental protection regulations within the framework of legislation
  • Drawing up work instructions, defining procedures and further developing systems for the warehouse logistics area
  • Plan, organize and carry out annual stocktaking in accordance with stocktaking instructions
  • Ensuring inventory accuracy and compliance with logistical warehouse principles (e.g. FiFo)
  • Notify and coordinate transport service providers in the shipping area and coordinate logistics service providers in the warehouse area.

Other, Individual Activities

  • Leading and managing logistics projects and project teams in the area of responsibility and working on complex logistics projects.

Job requirements:

  • Associate degree or related experience, preferably 3-5 years Logistics Operations.
  • Strong Project Management and Presentation Skills
  • Strong Technical background working with various WMS.
  • Excellent Negotiation and Analytical skills.
  • Process and Goal Oriented

 

Pay range $98k - $121,500k annually.
