Quality Technician - B Shift (60273)

Objective of job: 

• Conduct simple and complex tests on components/conduct cause analysis in problem cases. 

Principal activities:

• Check the interaction of individual components and component groups to assure functionality.
• Identify and record any quality concerns.
• Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions to assure defect free quality.
• Conduct cause analysis and develop solutions in problem cases (Root-cause analysis and problem solving methods).
• Conducts first and intermediate piece approvals (part appearance approval) where appropriate.
• Sort out defective parts/coordinate sorting activities (e. g. containments / MRB racks), taking into account DRX-specific requirements.
• Effectively communicate (e.g. PASSDOWN) with supervisors any problems with safety, quality, equipment, and/or productivity. 
• Support and maintain good housekeeping using the 6S principles.
• Be cooperative with co-workers in order to maintain a good working environment.
• Maintain all appropriate quality records (e.g. QSYS measurements / Peel tests, color inspection, BLOCK TAG, QA).
• Perform audits and quality inspections (e.g. product audits, hourly checks and gauging).
• Serve on cross-functional teams to ensure the continuous improvement of quality.
• Conduct and assist in re-work where appropriate.

B Shift- 1:00pm to 9:30pm
