Project Engineer CA

Objective of job:

• Support and coordinate production launch within production plant. 
• Cost effective analysis for improvement of existing equipment, work stations and resources. 
• Optimization of material flow in the plant. 
• FMEA planning activities.

Principal activities:

• Management of products in the series phase/ model maintenance (e.g. model year change, LCI, MOPF etc.) as internal and external central contact in the sense of product manager
• Clarification of technical requirements with customers
• Verification of the technical feasibility in cooperation with the specialist project managements
• Creation and coordination of schedules (including of subcontractors)
• Recording change requests
• Approval of change requests (e.g. product information, cost evaluations etc.) in cooperation with the specialist departments and ensuring the timely handling of changes
• Preparation/ evaluation and release of information for analyzing the cost effects
• Ensuring the up-to-dateness of data for the Draexlmaier digital drawings archive and the CAD databases, which can be accessed by the customers; acting as contact in the event of discrepancies
• Transfer of series products into the spare parts service (e.g. overhangs, dislocation, setting parts etc.)
• Establishment and maintenance of customer management (e.g. presentations, plant visits etc.)
• Support of the purchasing department in controlling the changes and the selection of suppliers
• Conduct and evaluate time studies of direct and indirect work, in coordination with process planning and production.
• Regular verification of plan times, in coordination with central time study department, with the goal of having a updated plan time catalog available in the company.
• Analyze work flows and create suggestions for work flow improvements, in coordination with process planning and production.
• Implement suggestions in cooperation with the affected areas and subsequently verify planned potential.

Job Requirements:

• Industrial Engineering degree preferred.
• 1 Year of Project Management experience. 
• 1 Year of Line Balancing experience.
• Experienced with AutoCAD is a plus.
• Familiar with all Microsoft programs is required.
