Objective of job

  • To monitor and assist Material Handlers and to support Warehouse Supervisor.  To provide support to production by transporting parts, raw materials, finished and packaged goods according to production guidelines and quotas using warehouse vehicles.

Principal activities

  • Material Delivery - Monitor, assist, coach and motivate. Warehouse Associates in the assigned area and support Warehouse Supervisor in order to ensure that the material process flow through all assigned areas are appropriate to meet customer requirements and internal business targets
  • People Responsibility - Provide recommendations to Warehouse Supervisors regarding disciplinary actions, associate development, including cross-training, time-off / vacation / sick days and schedule changes to assure daily production quotas. Ensures and supports company policies and procedures are followed. In case of uncertainties on procedures contact supervisor.
  • Efficiency - Support Supervisor in the realization of LIV management daily plan regarding delivery of parts, raw materials, finished and packaged goods by ensuring the correct material flow, following the guidelines established in the work instruction and the directions given daily by supervisors. In case of problems with the material flow, as absence of parts, contact supervisor.  Perform audit to ensure that inventory is accurate.
  • System - Ensure and maintain accurate inventory of raw materials and finished goods in FGD system. Ensures that all raw materials and finish good movements performed by the team leaded are reflected in FGD system correct and just in time. In case of problem with the system contact System Support Specialist (NAI 35)
  • Quality - Maintain contact with the quality department; every time quality notify that parts need to be re-tested, follow the DRX procedures ensuring that the parts arrive to quality and that the changes is put into the system. Ensure that products are not damaged during the transportation in order to meet the quality requirements established in the work instruction. If damages during the transportation occur, assure that products pass again the quality inspection.
  • Safety - Assist Production Supervisor in monitoring housekeeping, safety and environmental condition including emergency situations, as evacuations, following the direction established in the work instruction.
  • Training - Responsible for attending the training according to annual training plan scheduled by Supervisors and train associates in all operations within the assigned work area as requested by supervisor.

Physical requirements (e.g. requirements related to occupational safety, etc.)

  • Standing (for duration of the shift), sitting, walking, vision, frequent lifting up to 50 lbs and carrying up to 25 lbs, bending, reaching, dexterity, operating PIT's.
  • Must work with and/or around heavy machinery.
