Objective of job:
- Install, maintain, and repair machinery and/or equipment while coordinating maintenance technicians and equipment (scheduling) and planning and coducting OJT training for maintenance techs.
Principal activities:
- Support the supervisor in the organization and the allocation of shift personnel based on the call from each operations area, ensuring that a work order is entered into the system.
- Provides recommendations to supervisors regarding disciplinary actions, associate development, including cross-training, time-off/PTO.
- Ensures and supports company policies and procedures are followed.
- Recognize and eliminate weak areas; develop suggestions for eliminating weak areas.
- Advise on planning, selection and procurement of equipment, taking into account company standards and user-specific requirements.
- Suggest actions for efficient maintenance and repair, as well as for adaptation of maintenance standards.
- Assure/arrange for the implementation of accident prevention measures.
- Prepare, request, create maintenance orders according to guidelines.
- Identify problems before they create scrap and downtime through continuous monitor of electrical and mechanical devices, troubleshooting, and analysis as part of a predictive and preventive maintenance plan.
- Assist supervisor in analyzing maintenance data, recommends and leads continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist maintenance and engineering with Failure Mode and Effect Analysis.
- Perform daily preventative maintenance on equipment in production areas.
- Troubleshoot PLC hardware and software issues.
- Diagnose, analyze and repair electro-mechanical and instrumentation equipment using meters, gauges and other testing methods.
- Apply knowledge in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic devices and principles to install, repair, and/or replace defective equipment.
- Assist supervisor in writing and updating standard maintenance procedures and work instructions. Verify accuracy of work instructions in assigned areas and suggest changes to supervisor/team leader.
- Prepares work areas to ensure tools needed are available and in proper working order.
- Troubleshoots and resolves equipment problems while demonstrating proactive maintenance concepts and employes best practices.
- Complete/perform PM assignments and documentation as scheduled.
- Effectively communicate with Team Leaders and Supervisors regarding safety/quality/production concerns.
- Maintains good housekeeping using the 6S principles .
- Identify need of replacement or of new equipment and inform supervisor.
- Proved engineers necessary information for continuous improvement strategies and assist supervisor in writing and updating standard preventive maintenance procedures and work instructions.
Requirements:
- 3 to 5 years of Manufacturing experience.
- Previous Lead experience in a Maintenance role is preferred.
C Shift Hours: 9:00pm to 5:30am
Pay Range:
- $45 to $48 based on experience.
