Lead Engineering Tech CA (52144)

Objective of Job:

• This position is to help provide technical management and instruction to Engineering Technician employees in the department, in co-ordination with the disciplinary manager.

• This position will be responsible for assisting production troubleshooting downtime related issues in all assemble related processes.

• This position supports Process Engineering in optimizing productivity of existing programs and ensuring production processes are followed and are reliable and safe.

Principal Activities:

• Instruct Engineering with technical and project matters.

• Function as the contact person for the Engineering Tech group and relevant interfaces.

• Support Head of Process Engineering Automation / Supervisor in shift and personal deployment planning.

• Support shift carryover and shift work bookkeeping when applicable.

• Ensure compliance with work procedures according to instruction.

• Support the optimization of work processes and suggested improvements.

• Support determining the cause of equipment / process malfunctions and passing on description of malfunctions.

• Assist production and maintenance in isolating complex manufacturing issues which may involve the process, material, or machine functionality.

• Aid Production Engineering to reduce cycle times and increase efficiency of automated equipment.

• Train, mentor, and coach other technicians in Draexlmaier manufacturing processes.

Job Requirements:

• Associate degree or equivalent 1 - 2 Manufacturing experience; Automotive, Plastic Processing or Automated Manufacturing preferred.

• Good Technical Knowlegde in Allen Bradley/Siemens PLC Programming

• Good Technical Knowledge in ABB Robot Programming

• Good Project Management Knowledge

• Strong Troubleshooting Technical Knowledge

pay range $30.50 - $37 hourly.
