 Principal Activities

Project management:

  • Support in automotive projects in the plant in co-ordination with the project manager plant and under

consideration of the specific project goals and the plant strategy. Support in a smooth transition of new interior

carlines from the project Organization into series production with a best possible product and process maturity

level and in compliance with the budget target and SEP and DPS principles.


Process Engineering

  • Ensure the implementation of production processes for new and existing products within the plant under

consideration of project targets, specifications and process engineering guidelines in co-ordination with the

central development department.


Process Planning:

  • Ensure the planning and realization of production processes from plants incoming to outgoing goods for existing

and new products in Cooperation with the departments of product development, application engineering,

equipment planning, logistics, production and quality under consideration of the project targets.


Equipment Sourcing:

  • Planning and purchasing series equipment for the plant in cooperation with central purchasing, as part of specific

industrialization goals and with regard to scheduling, economy, output, quality and ergonomics.


 Plant planning and overall layout, resource planning:

  • Ensure Optimum overall planning for a production plant, for medium to long-term use of resource capacity with

the goal of Optimum economy and process reliability. Inform headquarter of free resources and space.



  • Review and optimize work plans (Host routing) with the goal of achieving a high degree of information maturity,

in coordination with the central routing creation.


Time Study Management:

  • Ensure the analysis of work flows using time studies, their Validation and initiation of corrective actions with the

goal of decreasing non-value-added activities. Analyze and optimize the work Station and material process


Change Management:

  • Monitor and control product and process changes from a plant perspective, in compliance with cost, time and

quality requirements as well as central requirements of change management, in order to conduct change


  • Arrange and lead change management team for a production plant.



  • Ensure the update of the FMEA with the goal of preventive failure prevention on product and process and chair

the cross-departmental FMEA presentation.


Process Optimization:

  • Set up / encourage a continuous improvement process (DPV - Dräxlmaier Process Improvement) in the
  • Industrial Engineering & Production areas of the plant and co-ordinate internal process improvement projects.
  • Responsible for implementing projects to streamline plant processes and avoid waste using value stream

mapping methodology; enable the plant Organization to do this by training associates and advising


  • Further development of production process in close co-operation with the headquarter as well as determination

and implementation of ratio potentials to improve the cost efficiency.

  • Responsible for employee Suggestion scheme (DRX Ideas) as well as committee member and responsible for

further development of DRX Ideas in co-operation with the headquarter.

  • Responsible for implementing / sustaining the 5S process and culture in the plant. Enable the plant to fulfil 5S
  • Standards by training associates and advising management in 5S and other lean management / Kaizen tools.
  • Lead, develop and implement the Organization and process flow within the own field of responsibility in coordination

with the Supervisor and DRX Standards.

  • Create a network between the plants and the central headquarter regarding all competencies in the own field of



  • Lead, develop and motivate the subordinated employees according to the company's leadership guidelines. Make

personnel decisions in co-operation with the HR department and the Supervisor.
