Objective of job

  • Supervise an extensive/complex department in Logistics/SCM within IPST and on-site/3PL locations
  • Support technical design, implementation and sustainment of new concepts, procedures and processes

 

Principal activities

  • Define and implement benchmark level Logistics systems, procedures, job standardization and training of both direct and indirect Logistics personnel.
  • Participate and support in all activities in regards to development projects, Series and Plant Site Strategy as required.
  • Active Team participation in all company activities and programs (Safety & Security, Quality, Continuous Improvement, Training, Human Resources, 5S and Environment, etc) which apply according to the proper activities of the position.
  • Monitor cost development/assure compliance with predetermined budgets/overheads/BDE time determinations and characteristics; implement corrective actions as needed, in cooperation with supervisor.
  • Daily operational support and leadership of IPST related functions, processes and systems.
  • Key interface for Logistics daily operational KPI metrics tracking and reporting
  • Assure customer on-time delivery compliance to 5300 call-off signals for all DAA operations
  • Assure Team 100%  compliance with all DAA and DRX approved processes and procedures. 
  • Primary daily customer contact for all plant operational questions and concerns  

 

Job Requirements

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, IE, Bus Mgt, or SCM preferred
  • Automotive industry experience of 3-5 years desired
  • Experience with production scheduling sytems (SAP, Oracle, SAS)
  • Strong critical thinking principles
  • Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment
  • Intermediate level in Microsoft Office
