Objective of job
- Assure all production processes in the plant
- Provides management in the field of plant related production departments and functions focusing on the overall
goals and objectives of Plant Livermore. Support the overall NAI growth strategy in the most effective manner
Principal activities
- Support the strategic planning of LIV2 by breaking down or developing the strategic planning for the department within a short or medium-range time frame
- Plan and administer the budget in LIV2, in cooperation with the supervisor, and make sure there is compliance with it
- Develop and implement personnel planning in LIV2, in cooperation with the supervisor; also make sure qualified personnel are hired
- Provide technical and disciplinary leadership to associates that report to him/her; make personnel decisions in cooperation with the HR department and the supervisor
- Develop department-specific goals, break down and prioritize the department goals, follow up on goals and evaluate goal achievement
- Responsible for the proper repair, installation and maintenance of all machinery and equipment in the assembly areas
- Manages assembly processes for various car lines by meeting targets, sequencing, and establishing a smooth production line.
- Encourage C4P (Commitment, Cooperation, Communication, Competence)
- Ensure resource planning, meets Plant Livermore and NAI overall headcount requirements considering the economic impact
- Responsible for KPI's weekly to ensure that all scrap and rework targets are maintained and meet current budget. Implement task forces as required to reduce non-conformances through the effective use of (Q-Wheels) or other problem solving tools.
- Assign appropriate tools and resources to each department in order to meet delivery and quality.
- Drive continuous improvement directives as required to meet customer specifications both internally and externally.
- Accountable for building quality into all production areas to ensure that all customer specifications are met and that the final product meets all safety requirements.
Job requirements
- Bachelory Degree in IE, Business, SCM or Logistics or related technical experience
- Production management for 6-8 years
- Automotive experience for 3-5 years
- Very strong in design and set up methods of resolution
- Process oriented
- Strong knowledge of problem solving utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodology
- Able to manage conflict resolution
Pay scale: $136,000 - $165,000
