We are looking for a Project Manager Development Interior for our Project Management Interior department in Erd.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead and coordinate full lifecycle product development projects (concept → series production), ensuring compliance with customer requirements, timelines, costs, and maturity targets;
  • Act as the primary contact for customers on all development-related topics, in line with TS16949 standards;
  • Drive technical clarification in acquisition/offer phases and secure accurate development cost estimations with cross‑functional teams;
  • Build and manage the project organization, defining responsibilities, interfaces, and governance structures based on the DRX SEP development process;
  • Ensure creation, alignment, and monitoring of project plans, milestones, risks, and opportunities, proactively driving issue resolution;
  • Own and control the project budget: plan, track, and initiate corrective measures for deviations;
  • Coordinate target cost management by aligning material, process, and investment parameters, exploring alternative concepts when needed;
  • Oversee project steering, prioritize topics, secure cross‑department collaboration, and ensure robust product & process handover to production (incl. PPAP);
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the project team, ensuring effective communication, performance management, and alignment with line managers.

 

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automotive Engineering or a related technical field;
  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in project management within automotive product development (preferably interior components);
  • Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, and automotive development standards, including IATF 16949 / TS16949;
  • Solid understanding of product development processes (SEP or similar) and change management methodologies;
  • Proficiency in project planning tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, or equivalent) and strong analytical/problem‑solving mindset;
  • Fluent in English, German and Hungarian;
  • Very good communication skills, ability to take initiative and make decisions.
