Head of Site Infrastructure

Job Summary:
The Site Infrastructure Head of Mission is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, budgeting, and execution of the site's infrastructure, health and safety, security, and environmental processes.

This role requires strong leadership skills to manage infrastructure programs, ensure compliance with national regulations and corporate requirements, and support the company’s sustainability vision.

The individual will work closely with site management, operational managers, and external stakeholders to continuously improve processes and ensure operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and contribute to the strategic planning of the department by developing and implementing short and medium-term strategies for the site infrastructure group.
• Plan, manage, and ensure compliance with the budget for the area of responsibility, in coordination with supervisors.
• Break down and prioritize group goals at the operational level and provide advisory support to the site manager.
• Prepare and present performance reports to ensure goals are met.
• Implement and optimize processes, standards, and policies (e.g., security policy, visitor management).
• Negotiate contracts in collaboration with the purchasing department, while managing relationships with external service providers and contractors.
• Advise operational managers on health, safety, environmental, and fire protection topics, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations.
• Represent the company during public inspections and audits, ensuring follow-up actions are executed effectively.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure maintenance and security programs and strategies for the site.
• Promote and support sustainability projects aligned with the company’s vision for continuous improvement.
• Implement, maintain, and improve an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) management system in accordance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.

Requirements:

• University degree in a relevant field.
• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in a similar role.
• Fluency in English and/or German.
• Proficiency in computer applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Basic knowledge of IATF16949; advanced knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
