Head of Maintenance/ Test Equipment Eljem Plant

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Maintenance to oversee the maintenance and optimization of test equipment in our automotive plant.

Mission:

• Oversee and manage the maintenance of test equipment in the automotive plant, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance strategies to guarantee the reliability and functionality of all testing systems and equipment.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts and ensure timely repairs to maintain high standards of equipment performance.
• Manage and ensure compliance with all safety regulations, maintenance procedures, and quality standards in line with industry best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality departments to ensure test equipment meets the operational needs of the plant.
• Continuously analyze equipment performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing efficiency enhancements.
• Lead and mentor the maintenance team, providing training, support, and motivation to ensure a high level of technical expertise.
• Develop and manage the department's budget, ensuring cost-effective operations without compromising on quality or performance.
• Track and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), such as equipment availability, downtime, and maintenance costs, to improve maintenance efficiency.
• Ensure that spare parts inventory is properly managed to avoid delays in maintenance and repairs, working closely with the supply chain and procurement teams.
• Support the introduction of new testing technologies, ensuring the plant is equipped with state-of-the-art tools for product validation and verification.
• Ensure full compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures, fostering a culture of safety and risk management.

Requirements:

• Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or similar discipline.
• At least 5-7 years of experience in maintenance, with a strong focus on test equipment in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
• Proven leadership experience managing maintenance teams in a high-demand, fast-paced production environment.
• Advanced proficiency in English; German language skills are a plus.

Additional Knowledge & Skills:

• Expertise in test systems and equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
• Experience with predictive and preventive maintenance programs.
• Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems for maintenance management.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in industrial settings.
• Experience with data analysis and performance reporting to drive improvements.
