Summer 2021 ME Quality Co-op or Intern

Objective of job

• This position will be responsible for assisting the Quality group in all projects resulting in optimizing safety, quality, and productivity of any and all carlines
• Summer Rotation: May 10, 2021 - August 13, 2021

Principal activities

• Provide support for day to day operational functions
• Identify and implement process improvements to production areas aswell as other plant procedures and processes
• Reporting of various KPI and internal procedures for plant quality
• Assist team in defining and implementing corrective actions aimed at improving product quality, and process performance
• Assist in team development of inspection plans, testing methods, vital product characteristics, measurement routines and validation procedures
• Work with team to reduce scrap andlower manufacturing costs in production areas
• Assists and/or leads  team trough problem solving process for quality issues and concerns originating from external customers as well as internal processes
• Responsible for data collection used for Statistical Process Control and reporting and analysis of results
• Responsible to track and coordinate continuous improvement activities
• Manage various plant level projects

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in progress within the field of IE or ME
• Completed three semesters towards degree
• Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Complete three alternating rotations for co-op positions
• Able to work in the US indefinitely and without restriction
• Knowledge of VBA
• Experienced with Microsoft Office
