Objective of Job:

This position will be responsible for assisting the Plant Engineering group in all projects resulting in optimizing safety, quality, and productivity of any and all carlines.


Fall Rotation:  August 17 - December 18, 2020


Principle Activities:

• Provide support for day to day operations of engineering department.

• Optimize production processes for all parts.

• Assist in team development of Process Flows, FMEAs, Work Instructions, Time Studies, Machine Capacity, etc.

• Responsible to work with support departments in scheduling and reporting of trials and the development of routings.

• Responsible to track and coordinate continual process improvement projects.

• Provide appropriate communications to Department Manager and Supervisors as needed to achieve and maintain labor

efficiency, machine efficiency and costs.

• Ensure time studies are up to date

• Assist with new plant layouts and update existing plant layout drawings

• Ergonomic review and improvements

• Manage various plant level projects

• Other duties as assigned by the Engineering management to ensure optimal plant performance.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in progress within the field of Industrial Engineering
  • Completed three semesters towards degree
  • Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Complete three alternating rotations for co-op positions
  • Able to work in the US indefinitely and without restrictions
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of VBA and Macros
  • Knowledge of AutoCad
