Spring 2025 Facilities Maintenance ME/EE Co-op/Intern (55772)

Objective of the Job

Learn and grow to maintain and how to improve the high level of technology in the manufacturing plant. Optimize the machine processes to improve cycle time, scrap reduction, quality defects, etc. Work with Engineering Tech group and Automation to execute process improvements

Principal Activities:

• Provide support for day to day operations of engineering tech and automation department.
• Assists production and maintenance in isolating complex manufacturing issues whether it is in process, material, or machine functionality related.
• Optimize production processes for all parts.
• Learn to understand PLC programs and new hardware installation
• Assist in upgrading equipment to Improve maintenance repair time
• Learn to optimize robot programs to improve processes
• Recommend production equipment and specifications for production department..
• Responsible to track and coordinate continual process improvement projects.
• Ergonomic review and improvements
• Maintain equipment documentation (machine manual, drawings, backup programs, etc.)
• Responsible in assisting Maintenance to understand what PMs and spare parts are required.
• Manage various plant level projects
• Other duties as assigned by PDD6 management to ensure optimal plant performance.
• Completion of LSS Yellow Belt Certification and project

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in progress within the field of Mechanical Eng, or Automation Eng
• Completed three semesters towards degree
• Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Complete three alternating rotations for co-op positions
• Able to work in the US indefinitely and without restrictions
