Objective
- Ensure quality control and customer satisfaction through management of personnel and processes at production end-of-line inspection area
- Management of personnel and processes for plant-wide for quality technicians as applicable
- Ensure target and KPI achievement in areas of responsibility as well as reporting of KPI’s to necessary management circles
Principal activities
Personnel
- Leads, coaches, supervises and motivates direct reports to ensure proper qualification(s) and performance based on existing processes, policies and targets
- Provides disciplinary and technical guidance to associates regarding day to day activities
- Monitor associate performance and establish development plans as necessary
- Ensures all associates training and certification is up-to-date
- Plan associate schedules per daily operating requirements
Production
- Responsible for daily operations and problem resolution to ensure daily production requirements are met with respect to workplace and associate safety, start-up and end-of-shift processes, communication, equipment performance, or parts availability, and KPI achievement and
- Responsible for daily/weekly reporting of relevant KPI’s to management circles (efficiency, scrap, throughput, etc.)
Quality
- Facilitates and provides expert guidance in the problem solving process for non-conformities (identified internally or communicated by customer)
- Designs, implements, and monitors containment processes to ensure effective containment activities
- Documents and communicates results and actions of problem solving process to required contacts and systems (internal or external)
- Participate actively in Q-Dialogue processes with cross-functional team for internal and external non-conformances
General
- Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement in processes and/or products and actively participates in implementation of corrective actions to achieve improvements where applicable
- Supports target achievement at individual, department, plant, and global level
- Infrequent travel both domestic and international as required
- Off-shift work including weekends as required
- Performs any other tasks or assignments not listed within this job description as deemed necessary for the department / company as requested by the department manager
Job Requirements
Associates Degree or equivalent work experience
Lean Six Sigma Training
3-5 years of Manufacturing Leadership experience
3-5 years of Problem Solving and Quality Process experience
