Project Leader Development I

Objective of job:

• Manage and coordinate a subproject, to assure product and process development from the concept phase up to series production. 
• Assure manufacturability of the component group. Plan all actions necessary from the point of view of development, for efficient industrialization in the virtual project phase. From the interface to the production projects for these topics. 

Principle activities:

• Create project plans / concepts and assure compliance with costs, schedules and resources, in cooperation with the technical project leader for development or key project leader. Implement actions in case of plan deviations or not achieving the required quality.
• Lead and motivate supervised project employees, regardless of site or region, on a global basis as needed.
• Select suitable project coworkers in cooperation with the line supervisors. Define tasks, rules and interfaces for the subproject for which he/she is responsible.
• Report to technical project leader for development, and in exceptional cases to the key project leader as well. Assure the manufacturability of the product, and plan all necessary actions from the point of view of
• development for efficient industrialization.
• Plan, control and monitor all necessary validation actions to minimize the process and industrialization risks, in cooperation with the line management and the technical project leader for development.
• Control and monitor the cross-process product design for all manufacturing processes, in accordance with the distribution-of-business plan or project-related organization chart.
• Support the feasibility evaluations and initiate the necessary changes to assure manufacturability.

• Evaluate and support the release the TOM data, in cooperation with the interdisciplinary project team, taking into account the entire process chain and its interactions.
• Assure risk consideration throughout the process chain, for changes in product and process. Cooperate in risk analyses within the main project, such as D-FMEA and P_FMEA.
• Plan, control and monitor test runs and studies in case of problem, to analyze and determine causes. Develop suggestions for solutions, using methods such as such as simulations, DoE, etc.
• Assure meaningful data preparation from all validation and test measures, in order to derive actions and make decisions in case of deviations from the goal.
• Support and monitor the implementation of process standards according to internal guidelines such as SEP,
• DPM, design handbook, etc.
• Support increases in the maturity levels of product and process during the product launch phase in the project.
• Create presentations and project reports.
• Support the technical and key project leaders in negotiations with customers and suppliers.
