Objective of job:

  • Establish ownership of the process through effective communication/implementation of Draexlmaier's goals and objectives with a focus on personnel planning, production planning, quality, safety, 5S, budget control and continuous improvement. Emphasis placed on performance by attaining all measurable and deliverables with respect to training and development, efficiency (PP), scrap reduction, PPM, First Time Yield, OEE, utilization, and safety. 

 

Principal activities:

  • Supervise, lead, and develop a team of production associates in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. 
  • Monitor daily production schedules and adjust workforce and resources to meet operational goals. 
  • Ensure all processes comply with safety and quality regulations. 
  • Coordinate with maintenance, engineering, logistics to reduce downtown and optimize workflow. 
  • Identify and resolve production issues to maintain continuous operations. 
  • Promote and enforce 6S, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement principles. 
  • Maintain accurate production records, reports, and metrics.
  • Drive accountability and performance through coaching, feedback, and corrective actions. 

 

Job Requirements:

  • Associate or Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent work experience. 
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in an automotive or high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, root cause analysis, and production KPI's.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. 
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office. 
  • Ability to be flexible and respond to production demands.
