Objective of job:
- Optimization of productivity and quality for production processes installed in the Duncan Plant.
- Implementation of new processes as part of the industrialization process.
Principal Activities:
- Increase efficiency and reduce cycle times of production process within area of responsibility by optimizing process parameters or equipment
- Eliminate manufacturing waste through process optimization. (time, scrap, effort, etc.)
- Establish and maintain machine and process capability for production processes within area of responsibility
- Assist production and maintenance in isolating complex manufacturing issues within area of responsibility, material, or machine functionality related
- Create, maintain and update production documentation (Process Data Sheets, Work Instructions, P-FMEA, Re-Release Sheets, etc.) as required by IATF 16949 within area of responsibility
- Cooperate with Process Development and Corporate Process Engineering teams in optimizing and deveoping process improvements and new production processes
- Validate process and product characteristics (CC’s, SC’s and IC’s) as defined by Product Development, Process Development or Quality Department
- Establish reference and boundary samples in cooperation with Product Development, Process Development and Quality for production processes within area of responsibility
- Support Equipment Planner in defining process-specific input (acceptance criteria, quality requirement, etc.) for Requirement Manuals for new production equipment
- Review engineering change requests (ECR) and give feedback for implementation cost
- Investigate new technologies to enable DAA to stay competitive in Automotive Manufacturing
- Define and manage various plant level improvment projects related to the area of responsibility
- Other duties as assigned by management to ensure optimal plant performance
- Some travel is required
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
- 1 to 2 years of knowledge with JIT Principles
- 1 to 2 years of Automated Manufacturing
- 1 to 2 years of Plastic Processing, Continuous Improvement and Analytical Troubleshooting experience
- Experience with 2D and 3D Modeling Software is desired.
- Knowledge with Industrial Automation and Controls is a plus.
