Objective of job:
Technical leadership/guidance/instruction of operational employees in a specific area in coordination with the discplinary manager.
Principal activities:

Plan and assure the loading and unloading of containers (e.g. shipping containers, railroad cars,
trucks, etc.) according to guidelines

Check that packaging is suitable for transport per guidelines, and take action as required

Determine transport sequence for several orders
-
Issue shipping and customs papers, cancel transport orders
-
Handle rush requests; relay information on additional demand
-
Book in/input data (e.g. packing slips, etc.) in predefined screens in the materials management systems

Assemble, forward and check transported goods documentation (e.g. accompanying papers, packing
slips, hazardous materials documentation, etc.) for correctness; take action as required

Organize inventory control and management (e.g. inventory levels, inventory movements, quantities
used, etc.) in the warehouse area (e.g. parts/materials warehouse, etc.); according to guidelines

Conduct or arrange for the receipt, booking in and out, and commissioning of materials
-
Monitor, assist, coach and motivate logistics material handlers in the assigned area and support the logistics supervisor in order to ensure that the material process flow through all assigned areas are appropriate to meet customer requirements and internal business targets.

Coordinate employees (e.g. personnel deployment planning, etc.) and industrial trucks.

Act as a contact person for operational employees and relevant interfaces.

Provide recommendations to logistics supervisors regarding disciplinary actions, associate development, including cross-training, time-off/PTO, and schedule changes to assure daily production quotas.

Supports company policies and procedures and ensures they are followed.

Support the logistics supervisor in the realization of DUN management daily plan regarding delivery of parts, raw materials, finished and packaged goods by ensuring the correct material flow, following the guidelines established in the work instruction and the directions given daily by supervisors.

Assist Logistics specialist with coordination of inventory audits and cycle counts.

Working knowledge of receiving, high-bay and shipping processes and extensive knowledge in HOST.

Ensure and maintain accurate inventory of raw materials and finished goods in HOST system.

Determine the causes of disruptions as well as creating/passing on a malfunction description, as initiating measures (e.g. solve of difficult disruptions, etc.).

Ensures that all raw materials and finish good movements performed by the team are reflected in the HOST system correctly and just in time.

Maintain contact with the quality department; every time quality notifies that parts need to be re-tested and ensure that the parts arrive to quality and that the changes are put into the system.

Assist logistics supervisor in monitoring housekeeping (according to 6S practices), safety and environmental conditions, including emergency situations.

Perform shift handover and maintain shift logbook, if necessary.

Be cooperative with co-workers in order to maintain a good working environment.

Ensure that work procedures are followed according to instructions as instructed.

Maintain training documents (e.g. in the qualification matrix, etc.) in coordination with disciplinary superiors.
