Objective of job:
Reviewing products and materials during manufacturing to ensure they meet company requirements. Identifying defects by visual inspection, measuring charateristics compared to their intended specifications, performing tests or physical checks, and maintaining complete and accurate production and quality records.
Principal Activities:
- Providing disposition of finished products and discussing inspection results with the operations team.
- Removing and identifying products that do not meet production standards and recommending strategies to improve quality
- Ensuring product conformity through a process-oriented approach and conforming with all production and quality requirements
- Report the number of defective products manufactured, Document and report non-conformance and ensure continuous quality improvement
- Maintains good housekeeping using the 6S principles.
- Continuously inspect parts for defects or irregularities while producing and sort out defective parts.
- Be cooperative with co-workers in order to maintain a good working environment.
- Execute product specific tests and checks outlined in the work instruction, Quality Alert or inspection order.
- Displaying fundamental understanding of standard manufacturing and quality standards and procedures (Pass no defect, 6S, documentation requirements)
- Simple setup and change of testing and working equipment according to work instructions.
- Maintain constant attention to detail, ensuring to meet daily production schedule and following the guidelines established in the work instructions.
- Providing feedback and recommendations on any necessary adjustments and changes to production processes in order to improve quality, efficiency and productivity.
- Maintain complete and accurate records of inspection activities, findings and results (including any required accompanying data defined by production or quality, ie. Order number, part number, defect zone, etc.) in a variety of formats (paper log, electronic, heat map)
- Effectively communicate with team leaders and supervisors any problems with safety, quality, equipment, and/or productivity.
- In-depth understanding Draexlmaier and customer requirements for products in designated work area and implementing that understanding by identifying and removing non-conforming material
- Effectively using technical implements such as gages, checking aids and reference samples to measure and evaluate product characteristics.
