Operations 2 - IM - Resin Tech- B Shift (59837)

Objective of job:

• To provide support to the injection molding department by pre-staging and delivering the proper quantities and types of resin and colorantsto each injection molding machines.

Principal activities:

•    Safely operate PIT's in order to deliver necessary materials to the injection molding department.
•    Correctly stage and transport materials with labels affixed correctly.
•    Effectively communicate with team leaders and supervisors regarding problems with the material flow, absence of parts, and safety/quality concerns.
•    Read labels to verify quantities, part numbers, descriptions, etc.
•    Determine part and material availability and report shortages.
•    Receive, sort, and distribute goods/materials and book them in and out according to instructions, if necessary.
•    Ensure the injection molding machines are ready to operate by pre-staging material to the injection molding floor and driers in keeping with SMED principles.
•    Complete TPM duties as assigned for drying and loading equipment.
•    Maintains good housekeeping using the 6S principles.
•    Performs PIT inspections to ensure equipment is in proper working order and follows all safety guidelines for the work area.
•    Monitors driers/loaders and color mixers/blenders to ensure proper operation and ensure press up time related to materials.
•    Prepare work areas to ensure materials needed are available and equipment is in proper working order.
•    Support the quality technicians and process technicians in the identification of root cause by giving them the required information.
•    Be cooperative with co-workers in order to maintain a good working environment.

B Shift hours: 6:30pm to 6:30am
