Assembler- A shift

Objective of job:
-
Simple assembly, processing and/or manual production of parts/components/component groups in series production.
Principal activities:
-
Simple setup and change of testing and working equipment;according to work instructions.
-
Determine simple to recognize defects.
-
Determine part and material availability and report shortages.
-
Document test/measurement results.
-
Effectively communicate with team leaders and supervisors any problems with safety, quality, equipment, and/or productivity.
-
Assemble, process and/or manually manufacture parts and/or preassembled components, using simple to operate tools and technologies, devices, and machines.
-
Maintain constant attention to detail, ensuring to meet daily production schedule and following the guidelines estalished in the work instructions.

Eliminate obstacles/breakdowns by simple movements; document and/or report as required.

Perform simple tests on parts (ie. making yes/no decisions with regard to dimensional accuracy, completeness, etc…)

Maintains good housekeeping using the 6S principles.
-
Continuously inspect parts for defects or irregularities while producing and sort out defetive parts.
-
Perform various activities at different work stations as required.
-
Be cooperative with co-workers in order to maintain a good working environment.
-
Other duties as assigned.
Physical requirements:
-
Standing (duration of shift), sitting, walking, vision, lifting (50 lb max), bending, reaching, and dexterity.

Must work with and/or around heavy machinery.
Job requirements:
-
High school diploma or GED or the equivalent combination of education and at least one year’s experience in a manufacturing environment in a similar role.
