Maintenance Engineer (56792)

Objective of job:

Maintain and improve the high level of technology in the manufacturing plant. To optimize the machine processes to improve cycle time, scrap reduction, quality defects, etc. Work with Production Engineering to execute process improvements for all carlines. Provide technical support for advanced troubleshooting on complex manufacturing issues. 

Principal activities:

• Assists production and maintenance in isolating complex manufacturing issues whether it is in process, material, or machine functionality related.
• Maintain department KPI measurements for machine downtime.
• Provide continuous improvement and/or corrective actions for negative downtime trends.
• Responsible for ensuring non-defined stores items and parts required for emergency repairs are procured in a timely manner.
• Leads Root Cause Analysis activities to eliminate catastrophic breakdowns and reduce redundant failures.
• Coordinate with purchasing to support technical purchases and warranty opportunities.
• Assist project team in the install and signoff of new processes and equipment.
• Other duties as assigned by management to ensure optimal plant performance.
• Travel is required.
