Objective of job:
This role is responsible for supervising logistics personnel, ensuring delivery performance, maintaining compliance with logistics processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that support safety, quality, and operational excellence.
Principal Activities:
- Lead daily inbound receiving, warehousing, inventory management, material flow, and outbound logistics operations.
- Ensure on-time delivery performance for internal and external customers.
- Monitor, analyze, and report Logistics KPI metrics.
- Develop and implement logistics systems, standardized work, procedures, and training programs.
- Support plant strategy, new launches, and development projects as required.
- Lead, coach, train, motivate, and evaluate logistics team members.
- Manage staffing, personnel assignments, and shift planning to support operational requirements.
- Take corrective and disciplinary action as needed in accordance with company policies.
- Ensure efficient use of labor, equipment, machinery, and materials to meet performance targets.
- Identify and implement process, equipment, and system improvements.
- Respond effectively to operational disruptions, bottlenecks, and changing business needs.
- Ensure compliance with all DRÄXLMAIER and customer-required processes and procedures.
- Promote and support company initiatives including Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement, Training, 5S, Human Resources, and Environmental programs.
- Maintain compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Partner with Production, Supply Chain, Quality, and other departments to achieve business objectives.
- Support large-scale company initiatives and cross-functional projects as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
- 3–5 years of manufacturing logistics experience in warehousing, material flow, inventory control, shipping/receiving, or supply chain operations.
- 3–5 years of leadership experience managing teams in a manufacturing or logistics environment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, warehouse operations, material flow, and production support.
- Experience with ERP/WMS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Automotive manufacturing experience.
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience with Just-in-Time (JIT) and automotive supply chain operations.
