Logistics Quality Engineer

Objective of job:
- Responsible for management of logistics problem solving processes including root cause analysis and introduction of corrective actions to resolve logistics problem landscape affecting internal and external customers.
Principal activities:
- Primary customer representative for resolving logistics issues including immediate response support, communication internally and externally, and problem solving activities.
- Responsible for ensuring effective problem solving process executed and documented (QSYS) for logistics complaints detected internally and/or at customer locations (wrong deliveries, mislabels, etc.).
- Tracks and regularly reports status of problem landscape and activities to management and customer interfaces to ensure adherance to problem resolution timelines.
- Monitors and documents costs associated with logistics problem landscape.
- Responsible for reporting logistics KPI's (ex: customer scorecard, wrong deliveries, etc.) and tracking necessary corrective actions.
- Monitors process characteristics to ensure conformity to defined standards and specifications.
- Defines and implements necessary processes or corrective actions to identified non-conformances
- Ensures effectiveness of new and established processes/corrective actions through preventative measures.
- Maintains documentation per standards as required for relevant documents (8D, L-FMEA, P-FMEA, etc.).
- Implements and manages processes necessary to ensure conformity to required logistics standards.
- Participates in audits as required including internal, external, and customer audits (Internal Systems, CCC, IATF, VDA, etc.).
- Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement in processes and/or products and actively participates in implementation of corrective actions to achieve improvements where applicable.
- Performs any other tasks or assignments not listed within this job description as deemed necessary for the department / company as requested by Management.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree preferred (Engineering or other relevant field or related experience).
- Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred.
- 3 to 5 years with Automotive Quality or Logistics experience in a manufacturing facility.
- 1 to 2 years of demonstrated problem solving experience and root cause analysis.
- 1 to 2 years of demonstrated leadership experience (with or without disciplinary responsibility.
