Objective of Job:

  • Manage several small organizational units with homogenous functions.
  • Lead the service & support of equipment in the associated production plants of a region.
  • Ensuring the correct and smooth service of equipment across all segments from the handover of equipment to the recycling of resources based on customer requirements (internal and external customers), taking into account costs, deadlines and quality within EB's strategic direction.
  • Support in the further development of the service area including spare parts supply, taking into account the economic situation, the worldwide locations and the strategic orientation of the company.

 

 

Principle Activities:

  • Service - Ensuring efficient and smooth service and repair of equipment in the region according to customer requirements in close cooperation with production sites, equipment and tooling units and external equipment manufacturers, taking into account quality, deadlines and costs. Participation in the further development of a worldwide optimal organization as well as their relevant main processes.
  • Series support - Assistance in ensuring support for the production plants in the region, assessing, coordinating and handling of changes, optimizations and complaints on series equipment as well as coordination of schedules.
  • Spare parts services - Assistance in ensuring the supply of spare parts for equipment and development of a worldwide spare parts concept.
  • Budget and planning - Creating and reconciling the region's budget and investment planning with worldwide Service & Support management based on strategic and operational objectives. Deriving, agreeing and pursuing goals and measures with the managers in the area of responsibility in order to ensure budget compliance and continuously optimize the cost structure. Ensuring capacity utilization at all locations in the region through cross-area resource planning.
  • Project Management - Ensure professional project management for the efficient planning, monitoring and control of projects in terms of capacity, quality, deadlines and costs.
  • Innovations / basic development - Participation in the development of innovative concepts in coordination with the supervisor and presentation of the projects in a coordinated innovation roadmap. Assistance in ensuring that new equipment technologies are developed considering maintainability and predictive maintenance and adapted in reasonable time. Continuous development of the responsible area in close coordination with the relevant interfaces.
  • Market Observation - Observing international markets in terms of technological developments inside and outside the industry as well as customer and competitive behavior. Identification of trends and participation in the development of innovative development opportunities and benchmarks as a basis for decision-making for strategic decisions in coordination with the supervisor.
  • External service providers - Participation in deciding on cooperation with external service providers due to internal resource planning and the necessary technologies / products in coordination with the supervisor. Participation in the selection of service providers / suppliers in cooperation with the scheduling / purchasing department. Evaluate offers, monitor performance and costs during projects.
  • Quality - Ensure the implementation of all relevant audit requirements as well as internal and external quality standards and implementation of countermeasures in case of deviations and improvement potentials.
  • Safety - Ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory safety regulations (in particular the Occupational Health and Safety Act as well as environmental protection) and the central DRX specifications. Initiate regular trainings for employees in coordination with occupational safety.
  • Support the strategic planning of the department/unit (Abteilung/Fachbereich) by breaking down ordeveloping the strategic planning for the group, within a short or medium-range time frame.
  • Plan and administer the budget in his/her area of responsibility, in cooperation with the supervisor, and make sure there is compliance with it.
  • Cooperate in personnel planning within his/her area of responsibility in cooperation with the supervisor; employ qualified personnel.
  • Provide technical and disciplinary leadership to associates that report to him/her; make personnel decisions in cooperation with the HR department and the supervisor.
  • Break down and prioritize group goals for associates.
  • Cooperate in developing products, equipment and/or services by contributing subject-specific expertise (e.g. in the form of concepts, technologies, systems, methods, etc.)
  • Cooperate in developing concepts and implementing measures for improvement to optimize the processes for developing products and/or equipment.
  • Assure compliance with and implementation of guidelines relevant for developing products, equipment and/or services (e.g. company goals, divisional goals, quality requirements, customer wishes, legal guidelines, etc.)

 

Job Requirements:

Specialized Knowledge:

Professional/graduate education (experienced professional) usually acquired through a bachelor’s degree or professional certification with several years of experience in a specialized field (highly proficient in a technical, scientific or specialized field built on a thorough understanding of theoretical concepts and principles and their context)

 

 

Work Experience:  5 - 7 years
