Objective of job
Manage several related, complex organizational units (can be global at different plant sites) with very varied functions.
Principle activities
- Support the strategic planning of the division by breaking down or developing the strategic planning for the unit within a short or medium-range time frame
- Plan and administer the budget in his/her area of responsibility, in cooperation with the supervisor, and make sure there is compliance with it
- Develop and implement personnel planning (including strategic) in his area of responsibility, in cooperation with the supervisor, also make sure qualified personnel are hired
- Provide technical and disciplinary leadership to associates that report to him/her, make personal decisions in cooperation with the HR department and the supervisor
- Develop unit specific goals, break down and prioritize the unit goals, follow up on goals evaluate goal achievement
- Plan and assure availability of required technical / area related logistics/quality resources and capacities in the functional area of responsibility
- Establish and assure the strategic alignment of extended work benches in high/low cost
- Develop, contribute in and assure removal / setup of old/new plants within the production network, in the area of responsibility
- Ensuring customer supply with unit products as supervisors, in quality and quantity in the given order time
- Assure unit/division related analysis of comprehensive problems (e. g. with customer/plant supply/logistics system, etc.), as well as develop measures/proposal for solution for sustainable elimination and avoidance
- Plan and implement comprehensive logistics, process and quality concepts (e. g. optimization concepts, cost reductions, market requirements, construction kits etc.) in coordination with the involved areas
- Contribute, develop and monitor compliance with globally valid unit- / division-related LTS system standards
- Assure global unit-/division-related know-how transfer, in collaboration with local managers of various production areas and central specialized departments
- Implement and assure logistics services in collaboration with supervisors
- Manage and assure comprehensive / complex run out projects in the area of responsibility (e.g. projects related to series, location, expiry, etc.)
Job Requirements
Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
7-10 years of experience within Automotive Quality and/or Logistics
