Facility Maintenance Team Lead (2nd Shift)

Facilitate and conduct tasks for in/out sourcing services and all resources necessary (material and labor) for the facility maintenance based on the plans, proceedures, codes and other techniques applicable; with the objective of achieving the goals of the department by operating the administrative system and software management applicable while completing all hands on task.


Principle Activities

  • Plan the work processes, material procurement and setup activities, and check documentation for completeness.
  • Coordinate associates (ie. personnel scheduling, etc) and equipment scheduling.
  • Install complex equipment and check (ie mechanically, electrically, etc.) for correct function; adjust and/or rework as required.
  • Determine part requirements, create parts list, complete procurement of parts, and request procurement of parts / equipment as needed.
  • Determine causes of defects/shutdowns in sometimes complex equipment with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, etc. components; use diagnostic systems as required and provide field report to supervisor.
  • Conduct difficult maintenance and repair tasks on complex technical equipment (ie. fixtures, machinery, instruments, etc.)
  • Conduct the installation and relocation of complex technical equipment (ie. toos, machinery, instruments, etc.)
  • Recognize and eliminate weak areas; cooperate in developing suggestions for eliminating weak areas.
  • Eliminate breakdowns in facility equipment.
  • Follow up and coordinate activities for efficient energy usage, lighting system, predictive maintenance, and lightning/grounding systems.
  • Participate in the development of work instructions and procedures for facility maintenance activities.
  • To develop and deliver on-time field reports to supervisor, be "On Call" as needed, and provide on call support via cell phone as needed.


Job Requirements

3- 5 years of experience in Industrial Facilities operation (Electrical / Mechanical Technician)

2-3 years of leadership/supervisor experience

1-2 years of experience with Facilities Occupational Safety
